Rhythm with Signs (Ritmo con Señas) is a method for collaborative music-making in which you can discover improvisation, arranging and group conduction. This sign language for collective improvisation was developed by the Argentinian musician Santiago Vazquez and spread rapidly around the world. Its basics can be easily learnt in a few hours, leaving space for creativity, fun and musical engagement.
Whether you are a hobby musician, music educator or professional musician, you will find inspiration, creative expression and new ways of making music together.

HOW MUCH
We want everyone to be able to participate, that’s why we suggest different fees. You are free to choose how much you can give according to your possibilities. Please be aware that the workshop’s costs per person are around 100€. This includes organization, travel costs, room, material and a basic remuneration for the workshop leaders. Once we’ve reviewed all applications you’ll receive a confirmation email including the bank account for the transaction.
Solidarity fee: 60€ or more
Standard fee: 45€
Basic fee: 30€ or less

Sofia, Cédric and Cristóbal
Project Leads & Mentors: Cédric Berner & Cristóbal Araya Altamirano
Cristóbal is a musician, composer and music educator with over 20 years of stage experience. He has founded and collaborated on numerous musical projects in Tübingen and internationally. He is a saxophone and clarinet teacher and a music mentor for transcultural orchestras. Since 2016 he has been teaching the Ritmo con Señas method through weekly workshops and residencies.
Cédric is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, music educator and producer. He performs in various projects and teaches string instruments, singing and music production. He is also an organizer and mentor for transcultural music projects. He has attended various Rhythm with Signs professional trainings, including residencies with its creator, Santiago Vazquez.
