In February 2023, the Leipzig vocal sextet presented VOICEMADE his debut album on the Leipzig-based classical music label GENUIN. Under the title „About Faith - A Portrait“, the young singers unite sacred music from the Renaissance and modern times, with psalm settings by Leipzig composers of the 20th and 21st centuries taking centre stage.
The CD contains world premiere recordings of motets by Robert Pohlers, Damien Kehoe, Ebba Lejonclou and Paul Heller. The latter is a teacher and project leader at our music school.
His composition „Von guten Mächten“ is, according to the tenor of VOICEMADE Johann Jakob Winter,
„A special experience, as it plays with aleatorics and the spatial conditions. Transferring the atmosphere of this piece to the CD was therefore a particular challenge, not least because the random elements made cuts in the recording impossible.“
The issue of the current CHOIR TIME mentions Paul's composition, which was based on one of the most famous texts by the theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer, in an extremely positive light.
