The trombone is a fantastic instrument because making music combines with physical exercise. You learn to understand your body, especially your own breathing, in a completely new way. There is an immense amount of literature for all skill levels, whether in classical, pop/rock, or jazz. As a trombonist, you can play solo, in a brass band, with an orchestra, or in a big band.
