Do you offer cello lessons for children?
Whether small or large: you are welcome here! If your child has fallen in love with the cello but can barely hold the large instrument, it doesn't matter: there are also smaller cellos and corresponding bows for children. Our Cello teachers.
It's the same with the cello as with other string instruments: from the very first lesson, students experiment with different sounds that can be produced on the cello. This is fun and highly motivating.
Our professional teachers are all trained in music education and incorporate technique and theory into their lessons in a child-orientated and didactically sensible way.

Can I learn to play the cello with you as a beginner?
Getting started on the cello for beginners requires a little patience, as the position is unfamiliar and the notes don't always sound clean straight away. But even with the initial plucking of the strings, you can develop great melodies. Once you have developed a certain confidence in handling the new instrument, using the bow is no longer too difficult.
We pay attention to correct body and bow posture and a loose left hand, without you losing the joy of playing. With us, you'll be making music from the very first lesson!

What inspires me about music
I've been making music since I was 10 years old and I grew up in a musical family. So music has always been a part of my life - a great enrichment! I can't imagine life without music.

It all depends on the mood of the day. Today I like Brahms, tomorrow music from the 16th century and maybe the day after tomorrow I'll enjoy listening to a bossa nova. But what I always like to listen to and play:

What drives me as a music teacher
For me, it is important that pupils get tips and knowledge about technique from me so that they can practise and play a piece independently at some point. Reading music is an important skill. But much more important to me is interpretation, i.e. the ability to give the piece a meaning or express one's feelings. I like to say: „Play the way you speak or sing!“

I don't have a favourite band or favourite artist. The music I like and listen to is constantly changing. It varies from classical music to baroque and pop to rap and folk music and follows chance. I'm happy when I find the right music for my current mood and state of mind.
What drives me as a music teacher
As a teacher, I am happy to share the knowledge I have acquired over the years and it gives me great pleasure when I can give a motivated student the tools to express themselves and realise their potential. Learning an instrument is a long process that requires patience, motivation and discipline. It enriches me to accompany someone on this path.
