An accordion consists of two parts, the treble, which is the melody section, and the bass, connected by a bellows. By pulling the two parts apart and pushing them together, air is moved in the bellows and forced through the reed blocks in the two side sections. This creates different notes, depending on which keys or buttons are pressed. The "sailor's piano", as it is also known, became very popular with sailors because it was easy to transport, yet could produce very varied notes and melodies. Through sailors, it spread around the world and became a vehicle for musical folklore.

As the accordion is available in a variety of designs, which also differ greatly in size, the instrument can also be played by younger children.   • Do you offer accordion lessons for children?

    Whether young or old: everyone is welcome here! Children and young people learn intuitively and playfully. The joy of trying out and discovering is our main focus. Even in the first few lessons, children of all ages can learn to play the accordion to accompany selected songs. A quick sense of achievement is guaranteed!

    Our professional teachers are all trained in music education and incorporate technique and theory into their lessons in a child-orientated and didactically sensible way.

    You can start directly if your child has already chosen an instrument or already has previous knowledge. If your child is still unsure which instrument is best, we recommend attending the Instrument carousels.

  • Are there accordion lessons for adults?

    Did you learn to play the accordion as a child and then stop at some point? Or have you always wanted to learn to play the accordion? No matter whether you want to learn a specific piece on the accordion or simply fulfil your long-awaited dream of playing the accordion: We offer personalised lessons that are tailored exactly to you and your needs.

    If, for professional or family reasons, you would prefer to come to lessons at longer intervals rather than weekly, we also have a solution for this: Our Prepaid cards. Talk to your teacher or ask our friendly colleagues in the office for more information.

    We also offer lessons online so that you can pursue your hobby from the comfort of your own home. Our instructors are flexible and happy to cater to your wishes.

  • Can I learn to play the accordion with you as a beginner?

    No previous knowledge? No problem! A big advantage of the accordion is that melodies can be played after a short time. With a little more practice, it is also possible to accompany yourself with the basses.
    We pay attention to correct hand position and solid finger technique, but we won't drill you until you don't feel like it anymore. With us, you'll be making music from the very first lesson!

  • Do you also teach advanced students?

    Have you already mastered the basics of playing the accordion and want to pick up where you left off? With our accordion lessons, we will support you individually, depending on your abilities and requirements.
