What inspires me about music

Music accompanies us through every emotion. It opens up spaces for expression, reflection and introspection. Music brings me out of my head into my heart and into the flow. It moves me to dance and to feel my body. Music not only connects me more with myself, but also with others. Making music together, being in tune with each other and creating something together gives me deep joy and connection. 

My favourite artist/band

There are so many great artists, but if I had to choose, it would be AURORA because she is so free and authentic. 

What drives me as a music teacher

I am driven by the desire to accompany and support people of all ages in their individual abilities and challenges and to pass on my enthusiasm and joy for music and singing.

Life path

• started learning the recorder at the age of six at the music school in her native Hungary
• after school attends the conservatory in Budapest
• 2017-2023 Recorder studies with pedagogical and artistic degree at the Leipzig University of Music and Theatre
• Currently studying baroque oboe at the HMT Leipzig

What inspires me about music

I am inspired by the diversity of music in different cultures and the fact that, despite the many musical styles, we can speak a common language.

What drives me as a music teacher

We can share our thoughts and feelings with the world around us when we make music. I want my learners to experience what it is like to express themselves in the form of music, to touch the listener and make them think.

Life path

• Aus der Klassik kommend führte mich mein musikalischer Weg über Jazz-Ensembles und Musicalproduktionen in die Popmusik.
• Neben meinem Soloprojekt „NORA BEISEL“ (Story-/Indie-Pop) bin ich als Sängerin mit der europaweit tourenden Band „MUITO KABALLA“ (Jazz, Afrobeat, Funk/Fusion) unterwegs.
• Nach meinem Studium der Elementaren Musikpädagogik mit Schwerpunkt Gesang und Songwriting in Köln begleite ich nun Menschen jeden Alters auf ihrem individuellen musikalischen Weg.

Musik ist für mich die Sprache, die wir alle sprechen und verstehen können, egal wer da vor einem steht.

Life path

• comes from a family of musicians and studied music education at the Damascus Academy of Music
• teaches adults and children from the age of four in European and oriental music
• also gives improvisation workshops and workshops on quarter tones and oriental scales
• teaches in primary schools, conducts a children's orchestra
• performs as a soloist throughout Europe

What drives me as a music teacher

I want to pass on and share everything I can and have learnt with my students.

Life path

• 13 years as an active member in the children's and youth choir of the Leipzig Opera, numerous solo roles in opera and concert productions
• Teacher training programme for grammar school music & French at the Leipzig University of Music and Theatre, majoring in jazz/rock/pop singing, with a focus on voice training and choral conducting
• Active as a choirmaster since 2017, currently conducts several pop and jazz choirs with different age groups
• Active as a beatboxer & loop station performer since 2018 
• Diverse teaching experience as a part-time music teacher, currently working at the Leipzig Model School 
• Freelance workshop lecturer for creative music education: music apps, digital music production, beatbox

What inspires me about music

I am particularly fascinated by the human voice - singing, beatboxing and the body as a resonance chamber. Music allows me to be in the moment, to feel energy and to pass it on. For me, it is expression, the joy of playing and a world full of diversity.

My favourite artist/band

• I admire artists like Jacob Collier, Jamie Cullum, Theo Katzman and Bill Evans - they combine virtuosity, creativity and emotional depth in their own unique way.

What drives me as a music teacher

I love awakening creative processes in people and seeing them surpass themselves. It fulfils me to share ideas and inspiration, to learn from each other and to create musical moments together that connect and inspire.

• studied jazz trumpet, percussion and composition at the Munich Academy of Music and at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Academy of Music and Theatre in Leipzig

What inspires me about music

I particularly enjoy working with other musicians. Growing together, developing shared ideas, a common inner ear and then making music TOGETHER is an incredibly wonderful feeling.

When it comes to making music, I'm like Ludwig van Beethoven, who said: „Playing a wrong note is insignificant. To play without passion is unforgivable“. When teaching, I emphasise a choice of pieces that the pupils like and four-handed piano playing between pupil and teacher.
